I've only been on DV for a short time, but it's easy to see that it's not a
robust DX mode. As you mentioned, it would do much better on the upper HF
bands where it's easier to achieve the SNR needed for solid copy.
Decoding seems to get choppy when the SNR drops below 10db or so and it
