For what it's worth, in my experience lawyers are much better than average
users at forming boolean searches - they do it often in eDiscovery and
literature searches. (I've done a couple of eDiscovery applications and in
testing, the level of sophistication around searching was very high.)

the exact same style as the original paper form. Where I've seen
this done well was through government websites where they took the
original paper form and created a PDF version that was dynamic. You

engines like Google. I think 50% of participants found an answer in
the first 10 results they got for queries they formatted themselves.
