At my last job, we mainly worked alone. We held a once-weekly
collaboration meeting and that was our time to share what we were
working on, and bounce ideas off of each other for possible
solutions.
But never ongoing, as in two designers assigned to one project.

Interestingly, there seems to be an interesting mental model around
paging in search. The 2nd page is the only one where users prefer the
numeric pager. After page 2, the Next button dominates paging
triggers. My hypothesis is that this is the difference between "Ok,
I'll try one more page" and "I

Good question. I'm sure everyone has the same aspiration that Kevin
S. does, to design products that make someone's life and work easier
and perhaps even more enjoyable. Come to think of it, I think that's
why I got into IxD, because I thought it would make my life and work

If you don't know how to write good HTML CSS markup, or have a good
enough grasp of JavaScript to be able to work with something JQuery,
then get some books and get to learning how to code. Axure doesn't

Hi Tiego,
Regarding the cost - it is not over the top for this type of conference,

Hi Elise,
I am the list moderator of the UX Management list, hosted by the IA Institute.
The list is free to join and our recent conversations have focused on questions
to ask in an interview, salary surveys and how to structure your team.

site. The BBC receives a lot of feedback from the British license fee payers
and has a history of creating forums on TV in particular, of airing those
complaints in shows like "Points of view"

It seems to me that trimming posts is a fairly well established
'netiquette' going way back to the days of usenet. But I do tend to
agree with the "change the technology, not the user's behavior"
philosophy in this instance.
And that is why I'm puzzled that the IxDA list hasn't yet moved to

misleading or vague as to what your role is with the company.
Did you feel it was successful? Or do you think this i
Susan Webber from LBi in the UK did a great presentation on the user research
and design of the Map of Medicine for mobiles (MobileMap) at Euro IA. Her
presentation isn't up on the web site, but I am sure that she would be willing
to discuss her findings with you directly.
