Dear Markus,
I think this is a VERY good idea!! There's definitely a need for

Hello I am new to mapguide. I am using Mapguide 1.2 and IIS/Dot. I need to be
able to draw shapes on the mapguide map from coordinates. I was looking at the
sample webpage buffer task. I can see how shapes are drawn but I have not
found how it gets its location where to draw. The example

This is the discussion list for the OSGeo, a non-profit organization
that supports open source GIS software development. It is not the user
list for Mapguide. (This is a common mistake.)
If you want an answer to your question you should find and post to the
Mapguide user list.

Justin,
I'm not a Mapguide user, but I think the mailing list I posted

Just would like to add creationg of index maps that give overviews on
smaller areas:
a country wide idex map and then map 1,2,3,... for each federal state.
Like those pages at the begining of a printed atlas.
Hello,
this is a nice idea. Although considering myself still a starter I can
already percieve the glue potential that doing GIS with Python offers.
Esspecially when one thinks of integration GIS and other scientific

More use-case driven development and improved GUIs, user experience and map
production fall under specific topics at FOSS4G 2008 so this discussion is
quite apt and I hope to see its fruit or at least some well-defined plans
