Ok, I've upgraded to 6.0. Pre 6.0, I would sometimes come across inconsistencies in artist names, or album names (and vs &, or In vs in) and I would fix it by editting the tag and rescanning. My question - now, with 6.0 being DB based, how do I go about fixing inconsistencies like this?

I tried playing MP3s vs. my Apple LossLess audio, and
MP3 seem to play just fine. Only the Apple LossLess
produce nothing but static.
As soon as I get my news reader to append I'll do that
but for now I have to send seperate emails.

in this discussion - ogg support in the firmware doesn't matter
personally to me, I don't use ogg at the moment anyway. But it still
would be a good thing for users if it was supported in the squeezebox.

Everything - Red Hat / Fedora will never ship mp3 support until all of
the relevent patents expire. Since slimserver requires mp3 support for
lossy streaming, that means it isn't going t
I've managed to sort the problem I had with "perl w ./slimserver.pl"
crashing out on FC3. I'd installed ActivePerl (for some reason I can't
recall), and removing it and reverting to the FC3 perl installation has
cured the problem.

I have a number of DTS CDs and I notice that if I rip content to .WAV
(which should basically just suck the data off the disc) they don't
decode at the SB end (you get white noise, which is what you get if you

I tried a rescan first, then cleared the cache when that did not work.
Slimserver was not picking up a recent addition of a
miles davis box set long past the 600 seconds that was set in the
itunes rescan time.
I've hit a wall, I can't figure out what's going on. I backed up my
entire iTunes f

I have tried to get the 'show multi-disc...as single..' to work with flac
images for some time without luck.
I'm not sure if it works with images - I'm using seperate files.
There is no DISC tag here and it seems the album tag is not the same.
