There are two issues but they may be interconnected. Can you get radio on SoftSqueeze on the same PC as Slimserver ? You should also put into the exclusion list socketwrapper.exe and mplayer.exe. After an upgrade some users have found it necessary on some security s/w/ to delete the old entries

What I would probably do is run the scanner to build the initial DB (the scanner will guess tag values based on filenames for untagged files). Then, using (I assume) the filename as a key, merge data in from your external DB, overwriting the values generated by the scanner. -- radish --

I have fixed it. I had to do a complete and clean reinstall of 6.5 (deleting my SlimServer folder after uninstallation but saving saving my plugins folder, cache folder, slimserver.pref, types.conf and convert.conf, so no arduous reconfiguration required afterwards). Thanks for the help. MC --

I'm using the latest slimserver version on an XP system, and I can not get a complete scan done. For debugging, I ran scanner.exe --wipe --d_import and the attached logfile lists a row of errors. Should I report this as a bug, or does anybody have some clues as to what causes this? +
