Yes, on 6.5.0, those options should definitely be there. First, make sure in Server Settings - Plugins that the Random Mix plugin is enabled, although I don't think you'd see the option in the main menu if it wasn't. Also try clearing your browser cache. Uninstall/reinstall seems so drastic.

I've been spending some time making playlists. As I've added/change/renamed playlists I've occasionally got Slimserver to Only rescan playlists. I find that if I rename a playlist Slimserver still keeps a listing of the playlist's old name even though it also adds it by its new name as well.
