Yeah, I tried them. Erland did some great work. But unless you know how
to write SQL queries, dynamic playlists are not as powerful, flexible
or intuitive as iTunes playlists. If you can't make SQL queries, you're
stuck with the templates that come with the plugin.

In my case I have a SB1 wired, SB2 wired, and SB3 wireless. However, my wireless network is B. The majority of my library is FLAC, but I have some mp3s from emusic as well. I've had no problems staying in synch on the three players, playing a mix of FLAC and mp3.

The problem is the Cyrillic characters do not display in the OS or on the

I had a party the other night and used SQ synched with SB3 for an
extended period for the first time--about 5 hours non-stop. I was
really pleased with the results, because it stayed in synch for the
entire evening.
Subsequent use has proved equally trouble free, and the two systems are
ok. So it happened to me as well. i tried various combinations then what

yes - They're for getting the stream to use compressed mp3s instead of
flac. In my case, the squeezebox & the server are connected via
ethernet, not wireless - so bandwidth is not an issue.

He is not using the Java plugin for softsqueeze and the music
collection is 56Gig all Mp3
tried using SS 2.8 and 3.0

When I try to connect to Internet Radio using SS 6.3.1 I now get parsing
errors on all channels (Shoutcast, 365Live, etc). Do I have to upgrade
to SS 6.5 to get this to work again?

Given that NFL would require a completely separate set of negotiations, it may be worth opening a separate feature request. I think the main difficulty for either one would be working out a deal with MLB or NFL.

In my experience, Softsqueeze is a bad performer all around. It does
its job of simulating the functionality of the hardware, but the
performance is dramatically worse. The hardware will not have these
problems. I used it to see how the devices would navigate my
collection, that's all.

I had the exact same issue with a WRT54G v5 router as soon as I upgraded
the router firmware to 1.01.0: Squeezebox (and Mac OS X, etc. etc.
anything except Windows) clients can't obtain IP address by DHCP.
Rolling back to 1.00.9 fixes the problem - see

Could your router have handed out new IP addresses following the reboot
so that something now has the same IP as the SB is trying to connect to

If it's the same debug output you still have MoodLogic enabled.
Disable and go from there.
Regarding artwork not showing up: Looking for artwork is the last step
in the scanning process. If the scanner aborts prematurely no artwork
is scanned.

disabled all plugins, rebooted etc and it made no difference. I still
have exactly the same scanning problem with the same debug report.

Have you downloaded 6.5 compatible plugins? Versions that worked with
6.3 will not work with 6.5
Try to run slimserver without any additional plugins. If this works add
one plugin at a time. This way you can tell exactly if one of the
plugins is causing the errors.

first track and initiates the cross-fading "window" once the level
drops below a user-configurable point.
For years I used a crossfader plug-in for Winamp

FWIW, I often synch my SB3, Softsqueeze on a notebook with a wireless
connection and Softsqueeze on a desktop with a wired connection,
usually for hours at a time. Only once did I encounter one of the two
Softsqueezes drifting out of synch.

if your playlists refer to files that no longer exist or if they use
paths to the files different from the ones in the slimserver database.
