I use Lazy Search to find my music. If you are going to make a custom
search, I hope it would complement the Lazy Search. Extra elements I
would like to see is similar artists in my library (lastFM?) or a
similar "mood" (musicmagicip).

I'm thinking of making a Custom Search plugin that make is possible to
search for music in your SlimServer library in various ways. But I
would like some input to understand better what is needed. My main

Wasting time with a crazy idea... maybe this wouldn't be an issue if the
SB3 firmware searched for a configuration server after a reset. It would
also be helpful if the SB3 firmware supported domain names. If when
reset the SB3 were to search for a couple pre-defined domain names
and/or IP address

Possibly a caching problem, try clearing the Firefox cache or hit

I am fixing a pair of YSM1Ps as I'm writing this. I found a response to
this problem on another blog. I tried the recommended fix and it seems
to have solved the problem.

I'm still having problems getting Slimserver to run on my new Vista

uninstaller and then deleting the Slimserver directory. I then
installed the latest beta 6.5.2 (2007-05-18).
Installation appeared to proceed normally, but n

Hi all,
The most recent version of squeezeslave refuses to run in the
background. I've updated squeezeslave.c so squeezeslave now recognizes
the '-b' option, which tells it to run in the background and not look
for stdin. I call it like this:
squeezeslave -b -m 00:00:AC:AC:AC:AC 192.168.1.32 &

You can produce 700 kbps MP3s? I thought they maxed out at 360?
FWIW, FLACs produced using flac 1.1.3 or later can get down to 700
kbps, so there isn't much s

A fun exercise to say the least and a great way to learn about music
track encoding. In the end Sean was right, "second generation" encoded
music is noticeably poorer in sound quality, in case anyone was
