IIRC, the only ads you see are on the website (if you're not a subscriber). As snarly says, there was talk of audio ad breaks but hasn't come to anything yet. Perhaps it explains why there's a lot of focus on the web player in the new version of the site, rather than the standalone player.

I also do not use WMP but WinAmp. I have tried every solution mentioned here and still have the problem of albums being split into two, with the same name, by SqueezeCenter. I Use a separate folder for each album. I use WinAmp or freedb to get tags and then examine them with MP3Tag or TagEditor.
