If you really just want remote speakers which you control from a
standard computer, I think you will
There's another difference folk fails to understand and apriciate.
Itunes plays files on your pc/mac
SqueezeCenter streams files to you player, meaning that you are
independent of the crappy sound software (windows Kmixer anyone etc )
and the PC hardware.
Your SC server won't need working sound

So, I have managed to show LASTFM on my SB3. It shows my account, I
choose it. It then says do not crobble and then converts to choose a
:
settings account
or
squeeze center
or
squeeze network
and there are more!
Still though, no musico.

Doesn't seem to do much for me..
On MacOSx Leopard, I've turned off the firewall - Accept all
inbound...
On Ubuntu - iptables shows ACCEPT for Input, Forward, Output... which
should be all open ports...
I really need debugging help to see if the client is the issue or the
server...

Sorry to revive this old thread, but I have the same issue. Waiting on
a reply from tech support, but in the meantime, perhaps toca can chime

You could also take a look at J. River Media Jukebox (free). It has nice
syncing features and can be set up to auto-import any external changes.

Quick Start guide yes. As for a link
What type of SB? On the Duet, you can find it on the Controller when you
are connected to SN by looking under Settings > Advanced. On a
SB3/Classic or Boom it's under Settings > Player PIN.

I am struggling to get my LASTFM to work. Every time I go to LASTFM on
my SB it says to visit SN.com.
I have done my LASTFM account.
I have my SN account.
I have activated it and scrobbled even the ADVANCED tag.
I figured it was that PIN number that wasn`t entered
Is there a tutorial or some other form of documentation that walks
through the entire process of setting up the Squeezebox Duet? I have
just received mine and would like to fully grasp the install (software
and hardware) requirements before I get started.

The Sennheiser HD-600s are very good for the price. Smooth sounding and
not aggressive like other headphones in this price range. I've not heard
other models in the series. They're definitely not as good as Stax
electrostatics, which are much smoother

The Squeezecenter interface will allow you to add LMA artists, shows or
songs to Favorites, haven't found a way to to do it from the
controller.

Pretty sure if theres a sharing violation it'll just continue scanning
the rest. To find out which one hasen't been tagged open winamp show
album/track replaygain, sort by that column and the file should be on
the top or bottom with no value.

I never heard of this happening before but I think I can guess what's
going on. It sounds like the internal settings became corrupted and
it's in a factory test mode.
Try press-and-hold power until it resets, then press '+' (add) on the
startup screen.

files were open however I just rememberd that I was listening to this
particular track just before I started using Foobar and thats why,
changed tracks on the SB and it worked a treat :-)

What type of files are they? If they are MP3, you probably have some
ID3v1 tags mixed in with your ID3v2 tags. Use a good tagging program
like mp3tag (freeware for Windows OS) to identify what kinds of tags
you have and delete any ID3v1 tags. The mp3tag interface for doing this
isn't obvious to ev

Sure enough that new style is available and Sufjan can be accessed from

I gave up on the java based "soft" players that come with SC. Too
fragile. I'm pretty sure the issue wasn't the app itself but java.

This is fairly straightforward to do in foobar. Load the cuesheet into
foobar, select all tracks, right click and then select Convert. It
should be fairly self-explanatory from there.

Skinning the web interface is a major undertaking due to the internal
architecture of the server. It's almost a full time job maintaining
the one interface that Logitech fully supports.
