Not what your lookong for but I stuck a bunch egrips on mine. Makes it
less likely to slip out of hand, or off my lap. Also protects it from
getting scratched up. I put couple on the back and on the sides.

If one can get it to factory reset , can one use the NET-UDAP perl
script for setup ?
I saw somewhere that this would work for all players not only the
receiver ?
Worth the effort to try anyway.

The points ModelCitizen makes are the exact points I was about to make.
The fact the SB has a pre-amp makes it perfectly reasonable to aspire to
balance and tone controls, both of which I've wished I had, although
balance would be a much bigger want.

Hopefully, it's just the screen. If you enable logging you might see
the protocol negotiation with the player. Without being able to
establish a connection with the server, this might be your only evidence
that the device is alive. Go to Settings > Advanced > Logging, and
setting network.protoc
Hey guys,
Great work so far - this could be very useful. I'm particularly
interested in what I can get in Canada (without any workarounds.).
Especially if I can get something Pandora-like not sure how I've
done it, but Pandora is playing right now, although I'm not sure I can
change the 's
Hi Guys,
I'm new to the Squeezebox world and decided to decided to take the jump
with a SB3 'Classic' I bought the unit second hand, knowing the unit had
a display issue but was told that it worked OK just no picture.
The unit is working I can see power to the Optical output the unit
feels warm.
I hadn't seen the link in Moonbase's comment - this suggestion didn't
live very long. Dead is dead.
A solution in search of a problem. The capabilities are readily
available for anyone who wants them. (Although, I will say I was looking
at mid-market priced preamps some time back, and I was shock

They are not simply sound sources though. They include a pre-amp with a
volume control, unlike CD Players, tuners and turtables

You can, you just need to contact the sales team directly as opposed to
through the slimdevices.com online store.
Or contact a lo
I usually agree with your comments, Moonbase, but not this time.
SB products are simply sound sources. CD players, tuners, turntables,
etc also are sound sources, and don't typically have such adjustments.
I don't personally think that adding such features would have a
positive effect on sales.
Thx for the answer !

In the meantime, I have the Boom remote and also the Controller, so I
can manage to make my SB3 work.

Yeah, I think a basic server-side DSP would be useful (something lighter
than Inguz, but that would allow you to adjust balance, and maybe
bass/treble too).
Also, a hardware DSP like the one found in the Boom could be an idea
for a Squeezebox 4 ;-)

I'd like to try out your app. Where should I install the program from?
I am using an HTC Mogu/6800/P4000 (whatever!) on XP w/ Active Sync. Any
tips would be appreciated. Thanks!

Sorry bit late reply. I would also like to know that. It is possible to
export favourites from squeezenetwork to squeezecenter (opml), but vice
versa I see no way. Am I locked into my own squeezebox or what ?
