For example a dj might have lots of different artists singing on his/her
album. This would then be tagged as DJ "X" featuring all the different
artists. Makes a long list of needless tags when one album folder would
suffice.

Browsing via music folders is just something that the Squeezebox does if
you go to "Music Library" and then "Music Folder". Makes it easier to
browse for me as a lot of songs that are tagged on my collection are
featuring another artist(s). This makes for a list of 10-20 under one

I am located in Canada and when I try to access Podcast Alley all I get
is a 404 error on all three Squeezeboxes. It worked well until a couple
of weeks ago. Does anyone have a clue to what is going on?

It sounds like it used to be connected to Squeezenetwork instead of
Squeezecenter (previously slimserver). The Squeezebox needs to be
connected to SOME server to show the clock (or any display). If you
never use local files, you should be able to just connect to
squeezenetwork, and not worry abo

I agree with a lot of the things that are being said here. I own a
Harmony remote, a couple of Logitech Mice, UE Super.fi IEMs and, of
course, a Squeezebox. Most of these, except for the Mice, were made by
companies that Logitech eventually acquired. As Erland mentioned, so
far, Logitech has not

My Squeezebox (a week-old Classic) has stopped working. It powers up,
asks for Ethernet details, gets an IP address from the DHCP server. I
tell it to connect to SqueezeNetwork, at which point it abruptly
switches to the clock screensaver. The screen is dimmed, and it no
longer responds to the rem

the work would eventually be done 'in-house' anyway. So by contributing

My SB3 (the original one, first one sold by Logitech) has served me very
well for some years.
I have only used it for fetching internet radio, and it doubles as a
nice clock when off.
This worked fine through my WLAN router/modem, even with the PC
switched off.
Now it tries to fetch the IP of the
