[slim] Audiobooks UI Enhancement Request

2009-06-07 Thread mick_w
I'm sure I'm not alone in using a Squeezebox to listen to audiobooks and it would be really nice if they appeared under their own dedicated menu (rather than mixed up with my music albums). Something like this: - Audiobooks | - Author | - Title | - Bookmarks Any file with the genre tag 'audiob

Yes and while at it make m4b ( and m4a) search able for SC . And support bookmarks for it. Audio books come as m4b sometimes. -- Mnyb Mnyb's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4143 View this thread:

You have to look at volumes too. The SB3 might out sell one specific model of SFF PC, but the componants in a SFF PC will almost certainly shift more than the custom parts in an SB3, as they are used in many different products. Vastly so in fact. A large PC firm can operate on much lower margins t

[slim] last.fm - a few questions

2009-06-07 Thread jimzak
1. So far, I've had to reconfigure my last.fm settings every time I reboot my Squeezecenter server (Vista). Is that behavior expected? Currently I have to reconfigure SqueezeNetwork and Squeezecenter (latest release version) every time I reboot the machine. 2. When I play "My Radio Station" o

Well, I think I've discovered the main issue that was preventing the SBR from finding SC on my computer: When my computer was wired to the router, I didn't have to set the lan_network_address on the SBR (just the lan_gateway was enough). But when the computer is wireless, both have to be set to

Sorry for my late answer. Thanks for the information of the "hidden" serial port on Synology NAS. Do you know if Firecracker TX signals obey to a standard ? I think I will have some problems with Firecracker kit sent on X10.com site because I am living in France and power supplies are 230 V / 50

[slim] Multi room solution

2009-06-07 Thread smcclelland
I have a SB 3 and want to synchronise music to another room. Can I add a Duet and use the SB3 to sync with the SB3 or do I need a second SB3? I was considering adding just a receiver, which I could set up to play in sync with the SB3 and add a Duet controller later. Is this possible? -- smcc

You could do any of those things. The hardware players, SB3 (SB Classic), SB2, SB Receiver, Transporter can all be synchronized together in any combination. The SB Receiver "requires" the SB Controller for initial setup - although it's possible to set it up without the controller using the NET-UDA
