My situation is similar. I have an SB2 synced with an SB3. I've had two
types of "auto-play" issues:
1. Music comes on by itself, picking up at the same playlist, same song

The SC version of faad is included in the relevant distribution.
You can use standard faad but you will not be able to listen to
AAC/AACplus streams.
If you want to build your own copy of the SC faad - the patch to
standard faad for the SC version is available in the code repository.

In any event, there don't seem to be any separate options for WMA

Same here. The only time I have had rebuffering issues has been with
7.3.3. There has been no changes to my computer, HP using Vista, my
DLink wireless network or external hardware. I'd say with high
probability its a 7.3.3 issue but it also is infrequent enough that I
just put up with it.

There have been no official announcements, so there is no real
information on how to get your hands on it anywhere, nor anything
Let me add to the fray and say that I too had never experienced a
rebuffering until my recent update to 7.3.3. I'm wired and it's
intermittent, but it's there and it's damned annoying when it surfaces.

The SB has handled regular WMA (ie, lossy WMA) natively for some time
