I don't see how this can be a "dealbreaker" when Squeezeplay (synced or
not!) is a FREE "best-efforts" bonus feature that is NOT part of the

What customers seem to forget is that they don't want a toaster. It's not a
standalone device like a toaster or even an iPod. It's a networking device. But

After installing SP-7.4.1 on my Windows 7 x64 system it wasn't able to
find the SB-7.4 server that's on the same subnet on my home WiFi
network. It would ask for language then go catatonic. AFAIK there was
no firewall on either side.
I fixed this by manually editing

I disagree with the above. Maybe hundreds...maybe. Thousands, I
really doubt. I have

Gimmicks and marketing and adding to the feature list. Just about
every electronic device I own has features I'll never use. But,
obviously, someone does use these features and

It seems from this point of view that Logitech have the main profit
inside this application. Free advertisement for the Squeeze arround the
world.
The man is going to work and wife or kids playing with the Squeezebox.

Apologies if this is somewhere obvious, but I can't find it.
I have an SB Controller which is set to use a static IP address. I'm
now reconfiguring my whole network and want to set it back to using a
DHCP address. I've looked in the user manual and can only see
instructions for setting from DHCP

I'm using iPeng since it's available on iTunes store. It has changed
completely my usage of SqueezeBoxes... I've always found the Squeezebox
interface very limited -- such as browsing through a list of artists or
album on a single line display. And did not want to carry my PC in the
living room.
