Confirmed downgrade to 7.3.3 solves this problem.
It also solves my previous problem I had with playlists not showing
contents too.
Will open bugid if there isn't one already.

Reverted back to 7.3.3 and the problem clears.
The file content has not been changed so can confirm the problem is
with 7.4.X release.
Another problem of random song mix not excluding unchecked genres is
also specific to 7.4.X

stopped playing. The strange thing is: if I connect to my 'old' 7.4.1

You sure can. But they are not really saved on the Radio, they are
saved to Favorites on the server (local SBS server on your computer,
online MySB.com server).

Why doesn't Logiech make a Shevaplug type of product which has
Squeezebox server preinstalled; and which updates automatically; so that
any HDD can be attached via USB? Surely you would sell truck loads and
similary reduce CO2. A no-brainer

easier to go to mysqueezebox.com and make modifications online than on
the devices themselves. Then the changes take effect in all of the
various SB devices automatically.

This is the thing, thats stopping me signing up after the trial, its the
same with removing albums etc as well, it takes a while, its very
annoying on ipeng scrolling in and out waiting fo them to disappear, I
understand there would be a bit of a delay due to being wirless and all,
but had one

wondering if it was the solution or whether another can of worms would
crack open. Also, I've heard that an ethernet connection isn't really
any better sound
Don't expect any problems. Ethernet cables (and switches) are pretty
foolproof as long as you don't try to build them yourself.
And don't expect any changes in sound quality. The data sent over
ethernet is the same as over WiFi, so no change there.

Load time would vary from several minutes to an hour, I never could
predict when it would show up and I was using Squeezenetwork, not my
local SC. Got rid of Napster and started using Rhapsody. Selections show
up immediately and it streams at 192k.
