I've been looking at Linn Records' site and thought it might be nice to
try their 24/88.2 "Studio master" FLACs. I have a Classic and
Squeezebox Server 7.4.1. I know the Classic will play 24/48 files.
Will Squeezebox Server downsample the 24/88.2 to 24/48, and do I need
any additional software

I am almost buying the SB but I do love albumplayer though, I have tried
squeeze centre without the hardware and AP is much faster and easier to
use even for people who have never used a pc I would say, but the whole
idea of the squeeze box is becoming more attractive to me all the time.

I have my mp3 tracks tagged with both Volume Adjustment and Album Volume
Adjustment, and have my SoftSqueeze player set to Smart Gain.
Needless to say it doesn't work - so is there some other setting I need
to enable?

Are these normal playlists or smart playlists? If they are normal then
why not convert them to .m3u's and use them natively within SBS? That
might get around the issue.

issue. Ideally - I would prefer to keep them as smart playlists becuase
