Filtering is one thing I've got on the roadmap for iPad (although
probably not for a 1.0) but searching for more details doesn't depend
on the user interface but on the database query capabilities.

You should live in the UK (or anywhere other than the USA Canada),
there are no links to any forums on non-US Logitech sites. In order to
access them you have to change your location to the US.
I've raised this issue with Logitech several times over the last 5

In my opinion there are three important areas which, if addressed, will
make this a knock-out app:
1) Filtering is essential when you have a fair idea what you want (I
emailed the following suggestion to Joerg back in January).
For instance, I'm tagging my FLAC files with multiple genres (e.g.
Thanks to flattermann for swinging into action and resolving this for me

Sorry, can't spare enough hours today for that 5 min job on the
computer.
Maybe its because I am used to this Forum, but the Logitech Forum is
harder to use and has a poor flow to it in my opinion and use.
And from the fact that I saw the same question asked three times in the
space of 15 posts, it would appear others see it as an open container
without compartments

Does that mean you can't really implement robust filtering unless

I think that taking a leaf out of the sooloos book makes a lot of sense.
Clearly the ipad screen is smaller than the 17

Logitech puts it into their server code?
Depends on what I want to filter.
My comment was probably unclear:
I CAN (and will) do filtering (although it will be a real challenge for
a weak server because it

I have often wondered if more people would be helped by somehow
migrating this forum, its users and their goodwill to the official
forum.
Not if it doesn't support mailing list, as it would reach less people who could
answer the questions.

Hello, i have a SB Radio and for 1 week, i have a problem with an
update.
I explain : when I change my collection (pass to home collection to
mysqueezebox.com by exemple), the last update start ... it's ok ! but 2
hours later, when i change my collection, the
same update wants to reload !! I
i am running 2 hardware players, and 3 software players (java players).
they WILL sync up but they become out of sync and sometimes horribly
out of sync while playing a 1 hour playlist.
all players are over wireless, with a freshly rebooted server and
router. .
every setting pasted is the same
Syncing on software players is not supported.
The 2 hardware players should sync though.

well that blows.
where can i get the latest software players?
ill re check tonight and see how the hardware players manage. i do
believe they were in and out of sync as well.
Just in case you are not already aware of this, be advised that sync'ing
of software players doesn't work very well in general. There are too
many latencies related sound card drivers etc that are outside of SBS's
control to maintain the sync. Sometimes it works, but most of the time
it doesn't.
Search the board, that is common behaviour.
You have to run latest version of the squeezebox server at home, update
your server!
Each server holds a firmware version, msb.com and SBS. If the versions
are different your device will change firmware at each switch between
msb and sbs.

Is this just an issue with the display screen going blank, or does the
whole unit turn off? Or, to look at it another way, does the SB3 keep
playing music when this happens?

Hi all,
looking for cheap speakers as in subj. They also need to be fairly
small/light, as I plan to use them as portable speakers for an iPhone -
i.e. they must be equipped with a suitable analouge input-option.
Any hints appreciated as I don't know of any alternatives.
TIA,

Hi, I haven't been able to get the screen to stay on long enough to play
and music. What I do know is that it after the screen has gone off it
is not appearing as an available player on the web interface. Based on
this, I don't think it's the screen. Any other ideas?

Yes, you need th e32-bit version of lame_enc. Both spotify and DSbridge
are 32-bit apps and can thus only use the 32-bit dll's.

Your issue seems similar to one I had with a SB3 a while ago. What I
would suggest is measuring the internal supply voltages (particularly
the 1.2V supply at L4) as described in the thread below and posting the
results here:

A few minutes ago Pandora went down on my Squeeze Box Server. It started
with a 500 error and now says Pandora is not available in your

fact, it seems to work for me every way except over Squeeze Box Server.
