I forgot to ask... How are you using Winamp to listen across the internet? If you're using /stream.mp3 then you must use LAME transcoding. Stream.mp3 won't stream FLAC and there's no comparable stream.flac. If that's the case you must have LAME installed and then set up bitrate limiting for the

I am having a similar issue. When I try to connect to my SqueezeServer instance w/ iPeng, it is unable to find my player. I can connect to my server via my duet controller, and can control the player via the server's web interface. If I change the music source of the player to mysqueezebox.com

I think this is related to the generally poor performance of the SQL database that is at the core of the server. It seems to me that the database was originally created when it ran on Pentium III's with 128 MB of RAM. Nowadays a more typical computer used as a Squeezeserver has at least two CPU
