On my 60th birthday, I noticed that my posts were reporting me as a
"Senior member". That's very clever, considering that I didn't register
my date of birth. :-D

The LAME quality level only comes into play if you are playing non-MP3
files and have bit rate limiting set to something other than "No
Limit".
If your files are MP3 in the first place, LAME is not involved.

I haven't pushed the code changes out to GC yet as I'm still testing the
changes. I'll upload updated OSX binaries for you to try.

Thanks for testing it and reporting back.
Did you try both LastFM and Napster?

I just had the same problem after adding a new album to the collection.
But I thought I had embedded the art, and had a 'folder.jpg' in the
folder. The art was only not showing up on the
radio/controller/squeezeplay but was there on the squeezecenter web UI.
A complete rescan cleared the problem s
A full 'clear and rescan' usually solves the problem with missing
artwork. If that doesn't work, an outside guess might be that the jpeg
image is actually a mislabeled bitmap, but you should be able to tell
that from the file size. If so, just download another one.

Yes, that's correct. A 'new
My issue was solved. I downloaded mp3tag, but before using it, tried one
more time clear/rescan, but this time I changed the name of the jpg in
the album folder to "cover.jpg". I had tried various names before,
including 'coverart.jpg', 'folder.jpg', and 'album name.jpg', none of
which worked. T

I'd say you got it exactly with that. I have various players for
playing music: Mac, XBMC, WDTV, Squeezeboxes. All of these can
I wonder if MySB (or the like) would not be the primary focus over SBS,
as it pertains to the music aspect of the GoogleTV/Revue device.

Maybe you haven't been paying attention, but from a marketing and

Am running an SB Radio + 2 Squeezeboxs, and would like to separate my
daughter's library entirely from mine (am running this on a NAS/Ubuntu
box). What's the easiest way to do this.

There is a plugin called 'MultiLibrary' which can achieve what you
want.
Here is an explanation how to do it:

The only problem: I think on the Radio you can't remove some menuitems
which would give access to the whole library.

Wel, since my government says I can jailbreak my iPad now (bahaha) I
am able to run this application in the background. It, coupled with
Squeezepad and iPeng has made me a very happy person.
I can now access my music in Southern California from Cairo through my
iPad, anywhere I want.
