Never heard or read of the Headphone jack being used as an IR input,
only output.
I use one of these http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView.asp?ID=KC5432
to control my NAD amp in a vented cupboard, SB3 sits in the open on
top.

I have several Squeezeboxes and recently introduced its Internet radio

He enjoys the possibilities, but at his own place there's just no way
that he can manage and set up the server required to take care of the

I'm curious now, without trying to be pushy, do you have any sort of
basic featurelist or timeline. By the end of November, by Christmas,
next couple of weeks??
Will this have any enhancements for ta
I'm not 100% sure I understand your question, but I think I do so I'll
give it a whack. The SB3/Classic's IR capability is to send/relay IR
signals through the headphone output to an IR emitter (Xantech or
similar brand). The idea is to use the SB's IR remote to control an
amplifier or receiver. T

They've changed channel 17 to be 24/7 Pearl Jam -- except I can't get it
on my Squeezebox. Anyone know why? It works fine on my car unit, but
the Squeezebox still pulls in the old Jam On station, which has moved
to channel 81.
Is there some update I need to perform to get the right channels?

You can build playlists in SqueezeCommander but saving them is not
implemented in the current version.

Searching did not reveal the answer to my question:
Does the IR port on the back of the Squeezebox Classic (internal
antenna kind) be used to control the device via a hard wire connection
attached to a Xantech type IR emitter output jack?
My configuration requires the device to be placed within

Except the small format PC bolted to the back of the TV. I can remote

Unless a Push2Tv box appears with independent S/PDIF out.

Sometimes I accidentally select a map to play which contains more than
1 songs which would take to much time.
How can I quit loading the playlist. The Squeezebox won't react on any
remote input while loading. The only thing I can seem to do is putting
the computer down where Squeezebox server

I suppose I could, but I have no AV Receiver and no use for one.
Adding another screen is unnecessary. I have a laptop as a source for
internet radio

Couldn't you go Push2TV > AVR > TV via HDMI?
You could also add a cheap LCD monitor to the AVR for music only usage.

Agreed.
Which is why Push2TV with an S/PDIF out that would still stream audio
to the DAC with the TV off would be good news. The Media Player runs on

I believe it will be either because the server is still scaling artwork
or you have a large current playlist.
The artwork issue should go away as soon as the scaling is through
until you do a clear and rescan.

see iPeng, the Squeezebox iPhone remote, at penguinlovesmusic.com
I really like iPeng for iPad.
However, with both iPeng for iPad and the iPhone version on the iPad, I
experience delays of up to a minute after each touch on the iPad before
the attempted action happens on my SB setup. Sometimes I have to touch
the "Play" command several times before it works.

Personally I prefer not to have to turn on my Tv just to listen to some
music.

I am considering upgrading to the new Windows Phone 7 platform and was
wondering if you have any plans to release SlimCtrl
