The SBS provided Flac has patches so copying the "standard" flac to SBS
or installed "standard" flac will not solve any flac related problems.
You'll probably need ia32-libs installed. You can check by running the
SBS provided flac at a shell prompt. If it runs make sure you see SBS in

Hi there I'm interested in the Squeezebox Transporter -SE .
I have some Q .
What is your spare part and repair policy for this machine after the
warranty period ?
it is a 1500$ product .
For example the VFD displays are the same as the SB Classic and these
displays are E

I don't have a transporter, only SB3s and Booms, bit I am running 64-bit
Ubuntu and 7.5.2. All is working fine here, and I only use FLACs. I have
ia32-libs installed as that's always seemed to be a requirement for me
(usually as part of the iplayer plugin I think).
Install ia32-libs as Mnyb and b

Hi,
Happy user with a Boom in the Kitchen, receiver streaming to the living
room and a Radio for the bedroom.
We are extending our house and I think we need another squeezebox, but
I'm not so sure where to put the speakers and what speakers.
If I'm going to buy speakers, I've decided to buy Aud

I'm sure you need another squeezebox - we all do...
The audioengine A5s are great speakers and powered, so you don't need
an amp, but you do need an electrical outlet and speaker wire. For
serious listening the positioning is critical, for background music
much less so (but other types of speaker
I'm thinking I'm going to have to replace the Airport Express. Does any
know if I can configure a Linksys WRT54G as a wireless access point and
plug my SB3 into it as a wired connection?

Make sure that Airport is not using a guest network for the SB3.
Unlikely if the SB3 was connecting to Airports regular network prior,
but I'd at least check.

Thanks for all of the replies. I too have thought about the Transporter
being end of line, and what happens if it fails. The knob is useless to
me as I use the Controller for all of my Squeezeboxes. This is a good
price for this unit if support will be there.
I guess I have some thinking to do
I had the same problem after uninstalling AVG and replacing it with

If you're referring to the trade-in programme, it's also running in the

I'm having a bit of a problem with squeezeslave; I get drop outs of

I'm running squeezeslave on a WinXP box with 2M memory (usually about

Briefly on my set up: I have 6 total SB's, 3 are wired and connected to
good quality stereo systems, 3 are wireless and are SB booms or
equivalent quality.
I generally run all 6 of my SB's synced - even if I am not moving
around the house I find that easier than tinkering with the sync
settings.
