Just installed this on my HTC HD2 to control my Squeezbox Touch. Got it
up and running in 5 minutes flat.
Looks to be just what I need. I'll have a play and come back with any
observations.
Many thanks, great app. :-)

I just have a couple of questions, as win mobile newbie :-)
- when the app is running, how can you close it? In the menu, the power
button appears to be designed to power off the squeezebox, not
slimcontrol. in fact, I just would like to close the app. Sorry if
Is the MusicIP you are referring to the one I find as MusicBrainz?

MusicIP and MusicBrainz are completely different things. MusicIP is now
owned by AmpliFIND Music Services. See

for MusicIP).

Having altered the playlist modification mode to always add to end by

that, if I decide to listen to iplayer with a playlist in place, the
Internet station is also added to the end of the playlist whereas I

As always, it depends on your budget. On the lower end (about US$100 a
pair), I have some Polk RC60i in my kitchen that sound pretty good,
although if I had to do it over again I might go for 8-inch speakers.
Hi Andyman
SqueezePad does not know if what you are selecting is a radio station
or something from your local library. For SqueezePad both is just a
menu item with a name and an 'add to end' command.
As you of course know better I suggest using a long touch then - then
the official context menu
Suspected that might be the case - thanks for responding so quickly.

Wow, thanks for all the useful info guys!
I might try some of these tricks if my favourites start to get too big
a list. It'd be nice to create folders directly on mysqueezebox though.

Well, you can vote for 'bug/enhancement request 8692'
(http://bugs.slimdevices.com/show_bug.cgi?id=8692). It's been open for
2.5 years and I don't expect much to happen on it, but you never know.

On my system, the relative volume between My Squeezebox and the server
is significant. On the controller, when My Squeezebox is used the
volume can be set at 10, but when I use the server for my own music,
the volume needs to be increased to at least 40 to play equally
loudly.
Is this the norm?

Hi Everyone,
I'm having some runtime problems with squeezeslave on my i686, Ubuntu
platform. One of my playback devices with mixing is number 8. So if I
start SS with

it dies immediately with the errors pasted in below. In essence it
