Hello, I am wondering if the quality and caliber of the computer that I

This update is excellent. I especially love how it plays the whole album
now after selecting a track and how a long press brings up all the extra
info like tags, etc... Love it!!

I used to have this problem on my SB Classic-Squeezeserver when I added
songs to a Playlist which I later saved. Had something to do with the
path I had defined for Saved Playlists. Somehow SS saw
saved-playlist-tracks as new entries to add to the database.

Keep playlist directory outside music directory.

Thanks for the reply. Did you have recent problems connecting to MOG,
that required you to restart

Unless I'm mistaken, there is a problem with the standard settings that
LMS used to transcode when streaming to a bitrate limited player.
This is the string that's used, for instance, to transcode from FLAC:
[lame] --silent -q $QUALITY$ $RESAMPLE$ -v $BITRATE$
Now, the quality setting is the
No problems on my end. But your error sounds like a DNS problem with
your touch. This can happen even if OTHER things on your network work
ok.
My advice solves a multitude of problems, and can't hurt anything, even
if it doesn't solve your problem.
I have the same issue and tried all sorts of rebooting and unplugging to
no avail, this is frustrating!

Do you use album gain or track gain for the car audio?

I am having the exact same issue as well. Tried the reboot router, LMS,
unplug radio, etc. No joy. MOG doesn't work through LMS or when
connected directly to mySqueezebox. This is a real bummer..

It doesn't make any sense to me either.
The default Mp3 transcoding rules began using CBR, then it was 'switched
to using ABR' (http://forums.slimdevices.com/showth...MP3-CBR-vs-VBR),
and then 'changed to -V4 VBR with this bitrate cap'
I talked to Squeezebox support person about 30 minutes ago, he said the
problem is between them and MOG, and their engineers are working on it.

Two more problems/suggestions:
- Code boxes wrap lines instead of scrolling horizontally. For
example:
Code:
ogf flc * *
[flac] --ogg -dcs -- $FILE$ | [flac] -cs --ignore-chunk-sizes
--totally-silent --compression-level-0 -
I had already logged a request with MOG support and just heard back from
them. They believe the problem is related to a system upgrade at MOG
that took place yesterday. They are working on resolving the issue. They
are notifying anyone who has opened a ticket with MOG, when the service
is back
Better still, an update to the ROM claims to have fixed the issue. I
have yet to test it... :)

If Cpu power and strict bitrate are not critical, one could also do:
Code:
flc mp3 * *
# FB:{BITRATE=--abr
%B}T:{START=--skip=%t}U:{END=--until=%v}D:{RESAMPLE=--resample %D}
[flac] -dcs $START$ $END$ -- $FILE$ | [lame] --silent -V $QUALITY$ $RESAMPLE$
- -
Yeah, that would work if you want to dictate the VBR level instead of
the bitrate. But I think that most people using bitrate limiting really
are using it to limit the streaming bitrate. Either to deal with a
limited bandwidth internet connection (streaming from their home LMS
server), or to

In general if I have a collection of single tracks in an album or folder
I use Track Gain, if it's an album by a single artist I use Album Gain.
MP3Gain looks for the album tag and will process the album as track or
album gain
Given that the car stereo isn't smart enough that it can use proper
ReplayGain tags, and you have to resort to Mp3gain to boost the volume
level of the data, there would be no way to use any type of smart
gain, like LMS does. If you typically listen to whole albums, you should
probably use album
