Are you running your own server or are using the Touch inbuilt server?
Is your Squeezebox maybe connected to MySqueezebox.com, so that you also
cannot remote control it on the web interface of your server ?
If that is case, just enter the 'my music' menu to make it switch back
to your server .
It has been a while since I used squeezepad. Am getting message no
players available. My squeezebox is powered on and working. Any
suggestions? I checked and server info is correct in settings
Thx

I'd believe it - sound has always been a bit hit-and-miss on this system
(and it's not a clean install, but the hardware and O/S have been

I recently had an odd synching problem as well (see the thread below).
Never could resolve the problem, and it was only a problem when
temporarily using LMS on about a 4 year old Dell laptop running WinXP.
No issues with vortexbox appliance, newer dell laptop...

Which brings us nicely back to the request in my first post - I don't
actually know what the default settings are.
I'm going to have to assume that the settings that I discovered from the
virtual machine insta

Yes, LMS added this in v7.7 (or v7.6 I don't recall). But Whitebear had
it first !!
So you have two options: a) use the LMS UPnP/DLNA plugin, or b) use
Whitebear.
IMHO Whitebear still provides better functionalit

I had assumed that the sync settings to be part of the SBS, rather than
the player (soft or hard).

Yeah, same. I wanted to eliminate wifi from the equation.
I appears that I can sync players and power without issue - I don't
bother with volume.
I only seem to get the problem when I

I realise that but Softsqueze sync implementation is old and so the
values you get may not be the correct/best ones f

Hi BPA. Thank you for your reply, but you misunderstand me. I installed
SqueezeServer and the two instances of SoftSqueeze on a virtual machine
It is really easy to do using DBPowerAmp's Convertor facility - can
convert to MP3 of any kind, FLAC of any level of compression etc etc
etc. I would recommend that as a relatively easy and speedy way of
getting the sound!!!
