Daphile has the driver (b44) for your ethernet adapter. I have to say
that I'm not able to say what's wrong. Sorry!

want to do is get my SB3 to play only the files that are on the external

could work if you share the folder from Windows PC. And configure
Daphile with CIFS Storage. The Remote target

If the new change scan rescanned every file in the library, then it
shouldn't rescan those files again, because the new timestamps would be
recorded in the library database. One the other hand, if there's some
bug is causing only 1/2 of the files to be scanned each time, then it
would keep doing

yes, this is transparent to the devices in that nothing has to be
changed. The devices need to know the SSID and the password,
I changed the scheduler to run clear and rescan tomorrow and then I have
a reminder so I don't forget to switch it back.
