It's on the APP page under "Supported hardware players." There is a link
to download an app, but the link just takes you to the squeezebox app
gallery. The JazzRadio app is there, but nothing for ClassicalRadio.

I got a prompt response from their support folks. App development is "a
top priority" and should be done soon. Stay tuned.

System: LMS on Linux (Pogoplug)

I want to transcode all my flac to m4a files so that I can easily sync
my library with iTunes. I would ;ike to have the following functunality
1) convert FILENAME.flac --->>> FILENAME.m4a with

I think you need to read up a bit about Codecs and then decide what you
want.

Phill,
Are these new features limited to using on the Pi? I'm sure some of them
might be of interest to many users. I would actually have expected to
see some tunneling support years ago :-)

m4a is just a file extension - it can contain AAC (lossy) or ALAC
(lossless). The former is similar in size to the equivalent mp3 but the
latter is significantly larger. Do some research before you go any
further.
If your intention is to produce alternate low res files to play on an
iThingy then

Already using an interconnect that claims to be shielded. Was only cheap
though.

Yes, that is what I use too. A very nice way to keep your main

There is a reason the pro world uses balanced connections. Maybe try a
shielded cable?

I had the same query, so thanks for chasing down the answer. By the
way, the same outfit also does "rockradio" for which there is an app on
MSB.com. It looks like you can use the same account for all 3 services
i.e. jazz/classical/rockradio. Nice!
Well actually you get access to all *5* since radiotunes.com (formely
sky.fm) and DigitallyImported are also included..gotta love a good ROI
;)

learn more about iPeng, the iPhone and iPad remote for the Squeezebox

Sorry if this is covered elsewhere.
Is the SlimDevices wiki locked for editing?
I was hoping to update the list of software players to include the
excellent LMS Remote, I signed-up for an account on the wiki but there
is no edit tab on the top of the page?
Thanks

I was listening to a science podcast this evening, discussing the music
industry, the effect that increased music streaming services has had on the
market.
One thing that was said tickled me a bit:
"It's a Squeezebox - its a boom and bust model"
So we've had the Squeezebox, we've had
I got an email from the folks behind JAZZRADIO announcing a new
classical service called CLASSICALRADIO.COM. If it is as good as the
jazz service it will be worthwhile, and as far as I can tell so far a
prime subscription to the jazz site also gets you the classical site.
