It's hard to pinpoint the exact circumstances that lead to the problems

Actually I think that has happened to me...but it's been a while. I dint
think that's the case this time because my apps can't find the Classic.

It depends on the device where you want to install SqueezePlayer.
On Amazon devices buy on the Amazon store. On normal Android devices buy
via Google.
Both stores are not compatible. You cannot buy on one and copy the apk
