Checked server. Looks OK. Still can't access Spotify via Spotty. Only
thing changed was new router last week. All other internet access is
working fine. Perhaps need to go back to square one and reinstall...

Clive, I have no idea, but very often Mr. Herger suggest running "the
latest and greatest" as the first step ;)
I don't use Max2Play much these days, mostly run a mac-mini as the
primary server and play with piCorePlayer on occasion, prefer plain
Raspbian on a pi at the mo.:)

I found a manual for the amp and I originally thought the wall plate was
going to give me a headphone port to plug in my Alexas too. But thats
not the case. So after further reading what your saying is get
additional dots and put them right next to the amp and then use the
existing Alexas to
Thats a great idea. Do you have personal experience with this amp?
The only downside I see to it is where to place the wall jack with the
input. I have the cat 5 ran to a box down low which is good for the echo
out but the rest of the features wont be very useful.
Could use the Alexa
Think it's updated. What do you think it was? Because it started working
after the Max2play update.

Replacing your SB3's C16 and C20 capacitors is one of those things you
just have to do before shuffling off your mortal coil, like swimming
with dolphins. I've just done it, and I'm a better person for it. That
said, the technical view is that the DAC within the SB3 is of a certain
quality, and
Yes, it did happen in the past few weeks.

Since all of your speakers are wired to a central closet I would get a
multizone amplifier like this one:

provide inputs. I would then get an echo dot for each room to act as a
source and name it for the room you want music
Thanks for the reply, Michael. I did notice the app is no longer in the
store, however, I can still download it from the cloud in my Purchased
list. Do you know if the app was removed from the App Store recently?
I've heard of apps being removed (because of 32-bit compatibility) but
still
Ive been having ongoings problems with playback on my home LMS set up
which produces either silence or skipping to the next track. The
problems are most often gaps in the audio output it stops for anything
up to about ten seconds before starting playback again at the place
where it stopped.
Thanks. I'll check the server.

Anyone else experiencing issues using the old iOS app recently?
AFAIK we've removed it from the store as it's not compatible with iOS
11+. Whether this means it stops working on older phones, I don't know, tbh.

Just checking, but I'm still using the Logitech Controller App on iOS

dug out my old harware Controller for my Duet and it started streaming

Well, I'm gobsmacked. I gave it a go per Ralphy's excellent guidance and

all came together beautifully. A few tips. A bright guy on YouTube (Mr
Carlson's Lab) said to twist the electrolytic capacitors and snap them
off rather
Do I do this after I’ve updated LMS or followed the instruction from the
Max2play link?
That link suggests using a different plugin (which I'm surprised to see
alive, still). I wouldn't do that, as I'm the author of Spotty :-).
Please enable logging for plugin.spotty. Play with it, grab the
Will try tonight, but I guess it's OK now... :-)
