the change in the server.prefs file would
therefore force me to move all the other files in the cache directory
and I would prefer not to.
So can anyone inhere help me in the right direction on how to obtain
this?
Any help would be much appreciated

this be done through software or would there be hardware issues
involved?
Can it be done through a plugin or would it take more programming than
that?

So I guess that I'm back to how do I translate the codes from IRBlaster
or the ones I find on the Internet into something that can be used in a
ir-file?

The IRBlaster codes are formatted in a way 'LIRC' (http://www.lirc.org/)
understands. Perhaps there is a conversion script available?
Good idea!
Any idea on what the format used in the IR-file is called?

Stupid me!
I was logged in as root when i copied the file to the IR directory -
Well changing ownership to Slimserver did the trick.
The only thing left now is to fine tune
.
For those who would like to do this themselves I just threw together a
short guide with no fancy pictures:

and older versions it was no problem syncing 3 SBs.
But after upgrading syncing is very poor.
Did version 6.5 include a new way to sync sound or is this just a bug?

Switch mode power supply but running
on batteries the tone is still there.
One of my SB3s have been bought in Germany and the other one in Sweden
so they might not be from the same production batch.
Has anyone else notised the same high pitch tone on their SB3?

If you're running version 6.3.1 I would really like to know if you can
play the following streams on SB3.

What further puzzles me is that every single one of the previously used
URLs works fine when started from a Windows Media Player on one of the
PCs on my LAN, but not from eighter SlimServer 6.3.1 or SB3 where they
worked fine with SlimServer 6.2.2.

Could this be a bug in the SlimServer software or is it more likely
related to DR streaming invalid data?

Unlikely - there are probably 3 URLs in the playlist URL you entered.
Please post an offending URL with multiple entries so I can check.

to go for direct URL for
the streams.
I found them here: http://www.dr.dk/netradio/afspillere.asp in the
column Linux/Flip4Mac.
Using these URLs also solved the problem I had starting the streams
from the SB3s.
Now it works like a charm.
