As a non-audiophile, I've been thinking about how I might use

anyone recommend good quality USB speakers (AC powered) suitable for

For anyone considering cloud backup, I'm very happy with crashplan.com.

take quite a while depending on how much data you have, but from then on
it just updates itself incrementally. Upload speed seems to be limited

crashplan.com offers an option where you can ship them a drive for the
initial backup at an extra cost. Otherwise, yeah it can take quite a
while. E

Note that many of these cheap tablets come with no Google apps which
means no Market. Be prepared to sideload the Logitech app and anything
else you will need. Depending on your budget, you can also look for a

This is the key point. I anticipate that my SBs obsolescence will be
driven by incompatibilities with music services going forward.
Marvell and Globalscale have done a crappy job of supporting their
products and developing a community around them. It's a mistake to
judge the Linux community as a whole based on this example.

I think the real question is what will happen if, for example, Spotify
changes their API and updates are needed on the MySB side to keep it
active. Will the music services just all fade away one by one as this

I agree - I don't want to have to turn on my TV to listen to music.
However, Spotify has changed how I use my SBs. I have basically stopped
maintaining my local music library and only have a library of specific
artists and albums that are not on Spotify. So I now use my SBs in one
of three mode
