I'm running 6.5.1 software on a windows XP machine and recently have been
unable to connect to the webinterface. Firefox just says cant connect to
http://localhost:9000/.
Also i'll start slimserver and it will just stop almost immediately.
Any troubleshooting advice here?

Slightly off topic here, so my apologies, but I've
ordered a new tivo and want to use my SB3 as the
access point. I know how to set it up (or at least
think i do) but its not clear to me what kind of cable
i need to connect the two.
Can someone provide an example of the type of cable I
would
SD mentioned it on this list (looking for someone in
NY, LA, or DC (where I am) and i emailed in that i
would be willing to do it. as easy as that!

Actually I do. It takes about 2 minutes to move the
whole operation outdoors, so if we are planning on
being out there for more than about 15 minutes i'll do
it. if we have guests, i certainly will do it, but
i'll bring em out there even if i'm just doing

Someone else recommended them here a while back and i
picked up them up and like them. They are the Edirol
MA-7A. Cost about $100, but they are small enough for
what I need and sound pretty good. I picked them up
from www.sweetwater.com.
