Rainer glad to inspire you. I love the Raspberry Pi, Max2play and
Hifiberry amp setup, it's compact size allows you to get real creative
with it, you simply can't customize your setup like this with off the
shelf products. Although I think the price point of the Hifiberry amp is
a little high, the
I'm not that savvy on the software side of things, why just those

Using a speaker kit from Parts Express I made these bookshelf speakers
with a Raspberry Pi and Hifiberry amp inside. It's a very clean setup,
connect the other speaker, data if you choose, power and you're good to
go. Custom speakers playing whatever you want and controlling it all

Just so I'm clear your looking to test the official Spotify plugin in a
synced environment using either the Radio or Touch, correct?

I switched to Raspberry Pi using Max2play and Hifiberry amps and have
never looked back. They integrated into my existing Squeezeboxes
flawlessly and I can sync everything, play anything on my NAS and stream
Spotify to all of them. I'll be slowly phasing out the older
Squeezeboxes because I can ge
For several reasons, First one app controls all my music sources and all
my players easily, my preference is Squeezcommander. I have music on a
NAS and several music subscription that I switch between regularly.
Second you just can't touch the coolness of a Raspberry Pi, a
touchscreen and a Hifi
I'm running LMS on Max2play on my Pi. This functions as a player and
server for my whole house audio system which consists of 3 Raspberry Pi
players using Max2play, 5 Logitech Receivers, 1 Logitech Boom and, 1
Logitech Radio. I'm using the Spotify family plugin with a family
account for Spotify an
I just wanted to update everyone and send out a thank you to everyone
who pointed me in the right direction; my Rhapsody/Duet woes have been
solved. Rhapsody is dead and I've moved to Spotify, sorry Rhapsody. I
set up a LMS on my Raspberry Pi and used Max2Play as the platform. Set

I'm running audio out of the headphone jack for now and I've got to
agree with others, it sounds pretty darn good. I'm running LMS off a
Netgear NAS that I've had for years, if it ain't broke don't fix it, but
I'm pondering setting up the LMS on a Pi since I'll have more 3rd party
options if I do
Read up on the Gramafon, the reviews were troubling.

I would really hope that could happen philippe_44 because if I could
get Rhapsody playing on my Picoreplayer it would be a beautiful thing.
If Rhapsody did that I think it would open them up to a very large
market. Imagine the potential of small and affordable players that could
stream Rhapsody,
I've been using a Raspberry Pi 2 and the Picoreplayer for a short time
and I'm very excited about this setup. I've recently order the
hifiberry amp and I'm looking forward to tinkering with. I think this
setup as a lot of potential. Unfortunately Rhapsody is going to get left
behind since I doub
I might be wrong about this but in my research there isn't anything that
comes close to replacing a Rhapsody/Duet combo other than the SB Touch
and SB Radio. This is a serious downer for me because I have a stack of
SB Receivers feeding a rack of amps for my whole house audio system and
in order
Can some one explain this change on Logitech's side? I'm not real savy
on all this encryption stuff but when I looked up PCI compliance it has
to do with credit card payments. So what does credit card payments have
to do with streaming music from Rhapsody?

What you don't see on this screen shot is my Receiver that is connected
to squeezebox.com I wasn't able to switch it using SqueezeCommander so
I grabbed the Controller. But once it's connected I can't see it or
control. So I'm not sure what I'm missing but I've been using
Well then start a new post and tell us your secret, I'd like to know.
I run LMS on a NAS so I can have access to my music collection that's
stored there. But it would be good to know how to move my players off
LMS in case my NAS goes down again. See my NAS crashed awhile back and I

Yes, connected to but you need Logitech Media Server running on your
local network to control them through the app. I could be mistaken but
I've never been able to see or control a player that's not connected
through LMS.

flo72 if you have a smartphone or tablet I strongly recommend getting
the Squeezecommander app to control your Squeezbox players. It's
definitely worth the few dollars and makes your devices a joy to
operate. I own 5 receivers, 1 Boom and one Radio and I control them
all easily at home with a ta
Thanks, not sure about the release numbers but when I powered my Radio
back up it said a new version was available and presto all is good.

Thanks for sll the work on this; I'm looking forward to getting the
world's best whole house audio system fully functional. I just got
through doing a factory reset on my NAS and reconfiguring all that so
I'm not up to trying to update my SB Radio right now. So I'm going to
wait for the update. So
