sees the players on both routers, ios and Android controller apps see

Thanks very much, this along with your related info in the linux
waveinput thread enabled me to get VLC system audio streaming working
using VLC 2.0 in Ubuntu Linux...spent many hours fooling with VLC
streaming myself in OS X and Linux until now
