I have been looking at alternatives to SB. I am confused about how the
Sonos and Airplay work as compared to SB.
1) Sonos states it can read my flac library from files stored on a NAS
or local PC. Does that require me loading server software on my PC
similar to the LMS or is all

I was looking at the various SB alternatives, specifically Yamaha's
MusicCast and Sonos. I am confused how these other systems access local
music? With SB, when I use my touch or the Radio it connects with my
computer (running LMS) and accesses the Flac file for playback. What

Are these guys a good alternative to squeezebox? I am a simple user of
SB, generally play my own music and access Pandora using my touch and
Radios. Looks like these guys have similar hardware with their Radio and
Tuner?

no you can't purchase lossless from itunes. Yes, you can use itunes to

Better using dbpoweramp or EAC.
I have dbpoweramp, I use it for Flac but it can do ALAC as well? Thanks

Interesting, so an ITouch loaded with ALAC files and a reciever that
