upgraded. When attempting to from the command promtp with
slim.exe --noupnp SlimServer does not start up and I get the following
message:
AysncHTTP: No DNS servers responded, you may have trouble with network
connections. Please check your network settings.

Is there some setting in the common.pm file that I can make per the
event viewer error message posted earlier in this thread?

latest version and that it does not fix the problem, even when
attempting to run from the command prompt which throws an error I
detailed.

blocking Slim.exe. I couldn't find anyway in Windows Defender to allow
Slim.exe so I removed Windows Defender. Slim Server still cannot find
the Squeezebox

Manager that Slim.exe indeed shuts down. The

I followed all the instructions. I even uninstalled SlimServer,
deleted the folder under Program Files and removed all registry entries
and then re-installed. I was only able to keep SlimServer on for about
a minute before it shut down. Event Viewer

I am not sure what any upnp devices/services are. How would I check for
that? I will attempt your suggestion of starting it via the command
prompt and post back.

i would try enabling it in your router first, and then try as kdf
suggests, disabling it in the command line.
Now this is really strange. I had meetings and stepped away from my
office for a couple hours. When I came back all is working normally...

I found and deleted the ID3v1 tags in the particular albums in question
and am still having the problems with artwork not showing up.

Ok... I think I found it and deleted the ID3v1 tags in the particular
albums in question. I am re-scanning the libary now and keeping my
fingers crossed ;)

Here are the answers:
- 1 album per folder
- 1 cover.jpg per album per folder
- all tracks are tagged per album per folder. Not relying on Guess
Tags.
- albums are not split in multiple folders.
Now the question is, what do you mean by there are problems with my
tags?

SlimServer
does not see the cover.jpg cover art in the folder. I have told
SlimServer to rescan for new changes, dump the library and rescan and
also have deleted the .sql file and had SlimServer rescan everything.
It still does not see the cover.jpg file in the folder.

I have done a rescan, dump the library and re-scan and also deleted the
.sql file and did a rescan. It still does not show up. This is only
happening on the 3 albums that are ripped to 1 (each) .mp3 file even
though there is a cover.jpg file in heach folder.

one. The reason is that the album is a continuous Trance/Dance album

under the second and 10 in the last. The track do not
follow sequence in either of the 3 itentical albums.
I have deleted the DB 3 times now and the same things shows up after
SlimServer rescans each time.
Any ideas?

Where is the DB located in 6.2.2? I would like to delete it and have

Thanks. Looks like after deleting the DB, Slimserver automatically upon
launch rescans the music folder. Is this correct or should I go into
Server Settings and tell it to do so?
