Hi Bluegaspode,
I thought that the change to the app was something relatively trivial
from your description. I haven't changed my listening habits but I also
haven't noticed the phone running out of juice any quicker. I'm going
to put it down to a change in the way kitkat reports app battery
Hi Blugaspode,
Long time no speak, I hope you're well. I have just updated to v1.3.8
of Squeezeplayer, released a few days ago, and have noticed the battery
usage has shot up. I don't know for sure if it is down to this app as
such as the upgrade coincided with my phone's upgrade to KitKat but

Hi,
I have just discovered AutoSqueeze and am loving it. I would like to
see discrete pause/unpause commands added to it so that I can explicitly
pause my music when I get a call. The current pause command is a toggle
so can be problematic if the player is already paused when a call comes

Hi bluegaspode.
I read with interest you blog concerning using Tasker to automatically
start Squeezeplayer on system boot
(http://www.squeezeplayer.com/2013/05/start-squeezeplayer-on-startup/).
I tried it and it works fine. I was just wondering if there is another
intent that could be used to

2) Right now SqueezePlayer checks, whether SqueezeCommander or
OrangeSqueeze are running. If so it doesn't show it's own popup.

No problems for me either. I've been running squeezecentre in all its
various incarnations from 7.3 to 7.7 and never had a problem on my
Windows 2003 R2 Small Business Server. The server is also running
exchange and sharepoint and copes admirably.

cannot do that the hardware
players can (eg sampling rates other than 44.1kHz) so a hardware player
is more flexible and has better sound. I think your best hardware
option would be a stack of receivers as previously mentioned if you
choose this route.

1xRadio
is to run Squeezeslave on my SBS server and
connect the soundcard output to an FM transmitter. All you need in the
garden is a plain FM radio. The sound quality isn't as good as with
wi-fi but that doesn't matter too much in the garden and I find I get a
very good range.

Just tried it on my N79 (S60 v3.2). Installs ok but doesn't do anything
when launched. Admittedly the N79 is not a touch-screen but I've been
wanting a Symbian app for ages! Any chance of it working on
non-touch-screens??

. Don't
know much about the Radio but can the socket be switched between line
and headphone? Also, if you do use an in-line volume control, put it
after the splitter on the transmitter's leg.

How do I know these will work for me? Do I tune into them now first and
make sure at least one of these stations don't come in where I am?
Yes, as long as at least one of them is free then you can use it.

is more important than quality for this
application. Also you probably want a powered one rather than battery
opperated.

anything about java or JSON but I can only think that
adapting this to run on SC7.4 s going to be a whole lot easier than
writing an app from scratch. It's just a shame that I don't know how to
do it!
