I found it in the player settings in the LMS Admin pages (it may be
settable in the player itself through the remote as well but I couldn't
find it).

Just picked up a used SB Classic (still with the SlimDevices logo) from
ebay. It's working perfectly, except has a fixed audio output, it
doesn't respond to volume changes through the remote or software, only
through the amp. I do recall there's a setting somewhere to fix this but
now can't find
Also keeping an eye on this. But $119 per year is pretty steep for
software, I don't see me ditching LMS for that even if they can support
the squeezebox line. Still happy with LMS/Muso as a server/browser
combination.

Is there a web interface url that can show the editable (drag/drop)
playlist only? And can the skin be fixed via url parameter?

I've just become aware of ickstream, and will admit I haven't read the
entire thread, but if it's not replacing LMS what benefits does it
promise the SB user? What is it replacing?

Just thought I'd mention that Muso can generate an HTML catalog for your
music collection - it has it's own database but it can be configured so
that it will mirror the LMS database.

Most apps have configuration options, in muso's case you have options to
point it to your SBS database which may be on a different machine - it
can't auto-detect everything.

It's causing a problem for me because I download some new music, add it
to iTunes, and want to play it on my Squeezebox quickly, but I can't
get it on the SlimServer database for ages! Why? What can I do to speed
this process up?
What does scanner.exe actually do? I have my server set to use the
iTunes database, so it can't be scanning folders for files, can it?
(scan of the iTunes xml should take a few seconds only). If not, what
else does it actually do? It's taking ages and slowing down my whole
pc.

I have two laptops running slimserver 6.5.4, and a QNAP TS-101 NAS box
running SS 6.5.1 - I can't find a way (yet) to upgrade this to 6.5.4, I
dont think it's been made available by the QNAP people. So that's why I
have a version mismatch. I'll try the bypass tho -
different versions?

Thanks. I'll give it a go, I was just concerned it would be the same or
