Ah, think I got it
Pop-up blocker in IE was turned on. Turning it off seems to have made
the problem go away.
I'll leave this post up in case anyone else has a similar problem.

Uh, maybe not.
Problem is back. Now setting the pop-up blocker off/on/off isn't
resolving the page can not be displayed error.
Anyone seen this behavior?

Is it possible to rescan the music library just to pick up changes to
tags? Scanning for new and changed doesn't seem to notice tag changes,
far as I can tell.

not to mention they'd be some dumb firewall admins at her work if they

Yep (see above), originally it was un-checked. So I tried selecting it
and re-scanning but the artists who only have a Greatest Hits album
still don't show up under Browse/Artists...?

I was thinking the same thing. Would indeed be great for parties to
allow folks to add a song to the queue. Would be nice to be able to
give someone a code to punch in that allows them to add "up to x
songs", so no-one can monopolize the playlist.

I just noticed that when an artist doesn't have an album associated
(blank tag for album), that artist isn't shown in the "Browse Artists"
list.
Is this intended functionality?
Is there any way to reverse this so all artists show under Browse
Artists?

I had a similar problem (first song would stop playing partway through;
consistently, every song regardless of file format) on beta 6.5
version.
Installing the latest nightly (from about a week ago) and updating the
firmware resolved it.
(I did not have FADE checked on).
