Me too, it's the reason I'm sticking 6.3.1 and not upgrading again.

I'm located in Austria but my connection is good (4Mbit Broadband), so
there should not be a problem.
FYI, AUSTRIA and AUSTRALIA are not the same country...
They are separated slightly. However both should have good quality
internet connections. :)

I had this issue after upgrading from 6.3 to 6.5, and was advised by
slim technical support to upgrade to the latest nightly, and it was
solved.
It's a shame when simple things which have worked so well for so long
fall apart after upgrading.

on the wireless router and it's been many
months of perfect wireless performance for me ever since.
While software like netstumbler help to navigate around other WLAN, it
doesn't help with the miriad of other 2.4GHz devices out there, which
need to be avoided also.

display asian characters in ID3 tags but
has a problem reading folder and file names with them.
I heard that it was a PERL bug, not the fault of the SS programmers.

JBL Control 25AV could be a good option if you want under eaves
mounting.
As for amplifier I would find a place indoors for that and run speaker
wires.

Take away the VFD and replace it with an LCD? No way, the VFD is the
reason I bought the SB3.
I'm not going to try it, but I don't think my Ipod's hard disc would
fare to well if I dropped it either...
