I assume the hardware in SB3 is already considered ancient.
The wish for more encoding formats, support for additional DRM schemes
and integration with new music services will probably be forthcoming in
a new SB4 platform with improved hardware

Yes - after the recent SN & firmware upgrade I've encountered several
cases of Rhapsody play unexpectedly stop in mid-track.
To get to the bottom of this, we need to run Rhapsody via local SC 7.3
and check the server log, then open a bug report.
I think all you need is an Ethernet switch at the SB3 bridge port, e.g.

resolves it.
Otherwise contact BBC and/or your ISP - they are wrongly determining

When the SB3 starts up you are asked to make a selection between wired
and wireless in "set up networking"

No. Support for PFS DRM needs to be added in the firmware to support

Perhaps Logitech should think about a simple $50 black box that has a
video output for menu browsing on a TV monitor, plus internet
connection to SqueezeNetwork for music streaming.
No fancy remote, no VFD display, no PC-based server.

A contrarian view: Logitech r-20 is best value for money. Small
footprint. Nice sound, front on/off button, headphone socket & volume
knob. Perfect for a bedside system.
The Audioengines are way overpriced. The A2 doesn't even have a front
volume control.
Is there a change log for the firmwares (including those that are
released in the nightly builds) ?

pping CDs, and taking the time
to organize a large collection but with Squeezenetwork you don't
need to do any of that. Personally I almost never access my own music
collection now that Rhapsody is available. The home server just becomes
a non issu

I experienced the same extreme slowness after I upgraded to SC7. The SB3
barely flipped through the menus.
I rebooted the machine on which SC7 was installed and all became fine.
I have no idea why.

81 is the firmware that was in effect with SlimServer 6.5.4 and the old

86 is the firmware in latest SC 7.0 and the new SN
86 is required for Pandora & Rhapsody in th
How can they justify placing the A2 volume knob at the back - for that
kind of money I'd expect the most obvious control easily reached
