Need to sort out my networking issue, as I get dropouts. Currently
connecting to the main router, rather than the closer AP. I did not set
this up, and trying to change the subnetting on the AP did not work. AP
is configured as a router as well, I

Sync is good :).
Got a bit of networking to sort out, but for now it's OK. Was confused
at first (as iPeng was fine), but realised a subnetting issue was
preventing the SBT from seeing the server (even though iPeng could
playback was fine). Once I changed network for SBT it saw my server.

I use the bluetooth feature on my box to provide a dedicated headphone
source.
Thanks.
Still have to get the SBT out, but sync on SB Player and iPeng works
quite well...

Done :). Did not find SqueezePlayer, but SB Player is available.

So, install SB Player from Playstore. The TV box will become another
squeezebox player on your LMS system.
You can set SB Player to start when the TV box is booted.

Yes, the TV box has access to the Play Store (already installed Plex
from there).

Back when they were plentiful and cheap Raspberry Pi took over for this
purpose. Free piCorePlayer OS works perfectly.
No reason, though, that Android player can't still do the same.

Time to resurrect this old thread (still seems most relevant). Through
my ISP I have an AndroidTV box. I have acquired a Logitech Z625 which
has a SPDIF imput. Originally for an old Samsung TV, but I've been
thinking that once connected to the TV box, I can install (I imagine)

Strange, I never had any battery or power issues so far. But low-quality
it is, definitely. That's why it's located where it is ...

No. These are playback devices, not server computers.

hi Marlo,
Sorry for the late answer.
Right now SqueezePlayer uses an AudioAPI that is compatible with pretty
old Android versions ("AudioTrack" /

Try installing caustic 2. Then go into settings. There your audio

Very nice. I may have to spend my money on your player app, which I've
been putting off as I have too many real SB boxes. I bought a Rikomagiv

am going to be testing other ROMs and even Ubuntu soon.
One thing that did spring
You only need to connect via HDMI for setup. Then provided you
configured the AutomateIt App, SqueezePlayer will startup automatically
on boot also without HDMI connected.

Does these boxes work if you don't connect them to a TV and just have
the SPDIF connected to the amplifier ?
Or is the TV needed for them to be able to start and launch
SqueezePlayer at startup ?
