Thanks everybody.
An advantage of having a copy of the original, freshly configured VM is
that if anything weird happens, I can just go and either save or delete
the current VM, and load one that always works. All I have to do is run
a scan, done, it all works as if freshly configured. :-)

Out of nowhere the LMS web interface doesn't load, it hangs with
Loading Logitech Media Server... (see attached)
I assume some file needs to be deleted somewhere in some directory? I am
using Ubuntu (in a VM, screenshot is from main Win7, behavior is
identical on any browser) and documentation
Strange, I run Windows 7 w Internet Explorer. Checking just now it
loaded fine.

Please check the server's server.log, and the browser's JS console (or
error
Try Shift-F5 to clear the browser cache for the site and reload the
page.
