I have solved my problems by upgrading to the latest nightly of
Squeezecenter. After a delete and rescan everything seems to be okay.
In answer to David. There were no special characters and these albums
appeared fine in the past.

I just tried that and I can browse the music folder and even play the
music I could not through the Music librabry.

See if the tracks you cannot scan have odd characters in them. If you
look at the end of this thread you'll see I was having problems like
that:

Can you "Browse Music Folder" them? Any hints in the log files
(scanner.log)? Does the scan finish at all?
