My only gripe is the setup of the controller. If Joe-Shmoe user had my experience, I think the box would have been returned. Well I am not a joe-shmoe user (i guess), but the duet was my first squeezebox and It took me two days to get it working:

Hi everyone, Just thought I'd comment here, I have an SB3 which I found a doddle to set up, partly I think because the whole process is manually configured. I had huge problems trying to set the duet up, and like other people here, I fixed it in the end, but I couldn't really tell you how, I

I have some sympathy with noobs with this kit. I just factory reset my SBC and then found that the menu ordering of the 'home' menu is now following the Menu Sort Order values I set in CustomBrowse. Bouncing the server now and again pays too. -- amcluesent

Hi Milhouse - I saw your other threads when I was trying to figure out what I was doing wrong. If connecting to SN didn't work, my next step was going to be to revert to the stock FW. Interestingly enough, it was only the night before that I moved to dd-wrt - guess that was bad timing.

No apologies necessary!! I appreciate the input. I forgot to thank you for telling me how to skip the wizard - I'll have to file that away for when I need it. -- maggior Rich - Setup: 2 SB3s, 1 duet. SuSE 10.2 Server running SqueezeCenter 7.1
