Can't this still be caused by having playlists in you main music folder which gets scanned? I think playlists need to be in a separate folder, or they will get scanned and added to the db as well as the actual files, showing tracks and albums twice. Using SC7 here, so not sre about SS6.5. --

Load your music files in a tag program and look at the tags. That is the only way to know for sure. Personally, I delete ALL tags except the id 3v2 tags.Very simple to do with mp3 tag. Since I use cover.jpg in each folder I also delete ALL embedded cover art. Cleans tags yield clean results :)

A common problem I'm afraid. A search of the forum would probably turn up a few related threads. This will undoubtably be a tag issue. iTunes is a bit sneaky and adds its own tags - particularly inserting Disc number tags on compilation albums. I would recommend examining the tags carefully in a
