I could be completely missing something here, either something obvious or with the way the search works. Global Search is not available from the web UI. How did you search on iPeng? Did you try on the device itself? -- Michael ___ discuss mailing

Hi, first post here but i've been using squeezeboxes (and this forum) for -years-. I'm not sure if this is an issue or not but I don't seem to be able to get 'Global Search' to work at all, assuming it properly exists as searching doesn't throw up anything conclusive. To make sure I wasn't

Hi, Thanks for all the advice - much appreciated. I have a little bit of perl experience (enough to move my tags around), so it sounds like the best idea is to follow the suggestion of moving everything into the comments tag. I'll double check that comments is fully searchable before I do :) --

Squeezecenter imports the comment tag, so you could use that. You might want to look into Erland's Custom Scan plugin. It will import ratings or any other custom tags you set it up for. -- MeSue Sue http://www.last.fm/user/MeSue

It would be pretty trivial to move everything from genre to comment using something like mp3tag or foobar. -- radish radish's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=77 View this thread:
