The 'conclusion on the Slimdevices forum' (http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?94280-Internet-radio-problem-with-v7-71-SPK-not-with-v7-7-1-SSODSp=698577viewfull=1#post698577) is that Synology has not properly patched faad and flac. Yesterday I have submitted a support ticket to Synology.

Since AAC streams don't play and AAC files play OK - the problem is the faad on your system. Checking back on the output you got from your faad - I noticed the that faad on your system is standard faad and not LMS patched faad. The LMS patches enables faad to process streams. Your faad looks

The station you are trying to play is in AAC format. Squeezeplayt needs LMS to transcode AAC as Squeezeplay cannot play AAC natively. It looks like AAC transcoding (i.e. faad/flac) has not been setup on your NAS perhaps because it does not have enough processing power. -- bpa
