i think the current revue (not to mention googleTV) is an unqualified
disaster. i've kinda been assuming that their plan is to do a new
revue, which fixes a lot of the current ones issues.
i would not be surprised to see a "touch" version of server in a
revue2, where it uses the TV for a screen.

True, I was just trying to say that I personally can't see a big
need/usage of LMS among currently existing Squeezebox products. New
Logitech products and Logitech Revue feels like the main target from a
Logitech perspective, besides this it could pr

I'm mystified by this LMS product, Windows 7 comes with Windows Media
Center that can already do all this stuff in the Core OS and you can
plugin HDTV tuners for PVR and have SBS sitting on top doing Audio.
As SB products are G class I can imagine streaming HD/blu-ray via

Personally, I would be very happy if they decided to release some new
Squeezebox hardware but if you want me to realistic I don't expect to
see any new Squeezebox hardware this year. The current hardware is
state of the art in the market at its price range, it's the software
that needs improvement
There have been several threads over the past many months about forum
member's desires for new Squeezebox Products from Logitech. Reading
the posts above, and the referenced thread, the Logitech Media Server
with DLNA doesn't seem like it's close to being ready yet.

I didn't and must confess that in theory a video squeezebox is a good
thing. The issue with video is DRM and many do not wish to strip HiDef
DRM because of local legal restrictio
Thanks for the link bpa - I missed that thread. It's very interesting
to see other media being introduced into the server. I think they are
heading in the right direction as long as they don't totally abandon
the audio only solutions.

Hi,
I know SlimDevices preferred to keep quiet about developments which at
least saved us from a million "is it ready yet?" and "FFS when will
they release it" posts however I was looking at the Logitech porfolio
and the way it is slimming down (older products no longer being pushed
